Iconic & historic Berlin
in Germany's history in the twentieth century. Each of the national

Republic, Nazi Germany, East Germany, and now the reunified Germany —
initiated ambitious construction programs, each with its own distinctive
character.

Around Tiergarten & Moabit
Tiergarten (German for Animal Garden) is the name of both a large park in
the centre of Berlin and a locality within the borough of Mitte. Before German
reunification, it was a part of West Berlin. Until Berlin's 2001 administrative
reform, Tiergarten was also the name of a borough, consisting of the current
locality of Tiergarten (formerly called Tiergarten-Süd) plus Hansaviertel and
Moabit. A new system of road and rail tunnels runs under the park towards
Berlin's Central Station in nearby Moabit.

Entering former East Germany
Historic time for me. Paraguay, where I born 45 years ago, was free of a
terrible dictatorship (Alfredo Stroessner was in the power for 35 years!),
the same year that the Berlin Wall was down and the Reunification of were
opened, resulting in thousands of East Germans crossing into West Berlin
and West Germany for the first time. Soon, the governing party of East
Germany resigned.

Life is a Ceremony
Good Bye is an emotional ceremony (as happened in Marburg with Nicole
and the childrens), as well the Appretiation one in Bracht by the local
farmers. How about that teacher walking from Hamburg to southern
France? Then, the real Laudes cantico at the gothic Basilica in Friztlar
watching father Simon Petrus, father Markus and father Conrad from the
distance. Finally, Kassel with the trams and collorful Bike Shops.

Smaller House Ever
I already leave the village of Friedewald in the region of Hesse (Germany)
about 1 KM when I realized that it was six, time to search where to sleep.
Then, while I photographing the green, spacious, luminous landscape, two
cyclists approach me. Jorg and his son Ben later invited me to their house.
After a great dinner (under a full moon), I slept in the smaller house ever!
Thanks Tonja for the photos. Cheers to Jorg, Ben and Mia!. See the

Gothic Town
Marburg is a city in Hesse, Germany, on the River Lahn. It is the main
town of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. Its population is 78,701. Marburg
is famous for its medieval churches, especially the Elisabethkirche, one of
the two or three first purely Gothic churches north of the Alps outside of
France and thus an incunable of Gothic architecture in Germany, as well
as for the castle.
